St. Pius X and St. Leo the Great may be two separate parishes, but they share a common spirit: A spirit of cooperation, partnering to operate one of the strongest Pre-K to 8th grade schools in the Archdiocese. A spirit of hospitality, welcoming families from all across Omaha who desire to form their children in Gospel values. And a spirit of mission, working diligently to serve the needs of our parishioners and others in the community.
Both parishes and the school share a vision for the future. This vision is to ensure each parish and SPSL school remain financially, structurally and programmatically sound in the years to come. In order to do so, a master plan has been developed that concentrates on three major areas:
– Financial stability
– Capital improvements
– Technology enhancements
Our society is becoming more diverse – spiritually, ethnically and economically – and we must ensure our school and other parish ministries continue to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow. We must have the proper financial foundation, facilities and programs to allow our community to grow together in our mission.
