The eighth grade usually reads four novels throughout the year, roughly one each quarter. A list of those potentials novels is listed below:

• The Call of the Wild
• The Clay Marble
• A Day No Pigs Would Die
• Night
• No Promises in the Wind
• The Outsiders
• The Pearl
• The Pigman
• Stargirl

A couple of plays are also read as well, The Diary of Anne Frank and Twelve Angry Men.
