The Omaha Diocese requires all Catholic school students in the eighth grade to research and write a biographical paper regarding an American person whose contributions to the advancement of American culture is so significant that the person merits inclusion in a “The U.S. History Hall of Fame.”  Students have been researching and writing a sourced 2-3 page paper regarding an approved candidate.  Essay papers are due on Saturday, February 29.

Prior to the end of Q3, each student will make a 2-4 minute oral presentation to fellow classmates explaining the very significant impact the person they chose has had on American culture.  Each of the essay and oral presentation will be worth 100 points toward the student’s Q3 grade.
