More Than a School, It's a Community.
Thank you to our “assistant teacher” who put in the hours right before going on Thanksgiving break.
She was invaluable in helping with our morning calendar, assisting with the spelling test, adding stickers to papers, and supervising lunch and recess among other things.
Teacher for the Day is just one of the priceless experiences parents can bid on at the SPSL fundraiser each year. 🐾
Second grade students read, sang, and served in other capacities at Mass this morning.
As we get ready to celebrate our First Reconciliation, what a perfect time to become more familiar with the different parts of the Mass, as well as the theme of today’s readings, “Be Ready”.

These busy kids are ready for a break after a month of performing, creating, and and learning.

Congratulations to all of the second graders who celebrated First Reconciliation this past Saturday. Members of both St. Pius X and St. Leo the Great parishes participated in a prayer service with family and friends celebrating God’s amazing forgiveness.
Picture Day was early this year- on day 3!!!! Everyone sure looks happy and ready to be back in school. 📸
This is my 13th year teaching at St. Pius X / St. Leo School, and 26th year in the Archdiocese of Omaha. When I'm not spending time with these wonderful 2nd graders, I'm at home with my own 4 kids, husband, and favorite walking partner, Marley. My other loves in life include the Jays, pizza, and a good book!
