We had a great week in KC! Here is what we’ve been working on:
Religion: We learned that God made water and how to take care of God’s give of water.
Literacy: We met our first Superkid, Cass. We practiced forming the letter Cc, words that begin with c and have c in the middle. Ask your child to tell you all about Cass!
Math: We practiced sorting and classifying.
Social Studies: We had so much fun learning about each other with our Selfie Sacks! Thanks for sending the family pictures! They’ll be hanging in KC all year!
Thanks to everyone who attended Parent Night! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Happy Friday Everyone!
Our first full week in KC was fantastic! You certainly have some sweet kiddos!
This week in KC we read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, Lacey Walker Nonstop Talker, Interrupting Chicken, If You Take A Mouse To School and so many more! We had fun doing projects that went with many of our stories.
We also talked a lot about our classroom and school rules. We have 6 classroom rules. I bet your child can name most of them already!
Please continue to remind your child what they are having for lunch each morning. It makes it so much easier if they know what they want before they walk into the classroom. They have been loving the Westside lunches!
Next Thursday, August 30th is Kindergarten Parent Night. This night is for parents only. We will be talking about all the fun I have planned this year for the KC kids. Also, I can answer a lot of your questions about how things work in Kindergarten.
Have a wonderful weekend!
