Notes:


Science-No HW tonight


Guided Reading – Group 3: Complete quotation notes if not already done.  Your character analysis on Storyboard That will be die at the end of class tomorrow.  VOcab test on WEDNESDAY!

Group 4: Vocab test tomorrow.  We will finish comprehension questions tomorrow, too.


Math Mod 1 –  WS on angles.  Vocab quiz on Wednesday on lines & planes & angles.


Math 2 & 5-  WS on combining like terms.  Use your colored pencils.


Social Studies – Worked in computer lab on Ancient Rome posters. Due Tuesday/tomorrow: Postcards – On the back: write a short message: 8-10 sentences long, use names of specific places, events that happened, or people in Chapter 8 or 9 Ancient Greece to write a note on your postcard to a family member/friend when you “visited” and a fake address to send it to. Five of the 8-10 sentences need to be factual information from the chapter. On the front: draw a detailed picture, with color, of the information you talked about in your note.


Literature/English – Noun review sheet.  Test on nouns on Wednesday.  NOTE: The “proof” for predicate nouns is as follows:

My mom is a teacher.  (Mom = subject; is = verb; teacher= P.N.)

Proof: A teacher is my mom.  (just write the sentence backwards, with the P.N. in the subject location)


Religion –  Discussed the Temple of Solomon today.

Notes:


Science- Completed notes on Clouds today.  Copy is available on Classroom.  HW:  Vocab pg 198 + these 7 seven words:  ecosystem, population, community, biotic factor, abiotic factor, climate, biome.  You must write the definition AND give an example of each word.  Do in your NB.


Guided Reading -Group 1: Study for vocabulary test on Thursday.

Group 2: Study for vocabulary test on Thursday. For practice use Socrative code HEENEY4441 after 5:00 p.m. today.


Math Mod 1 –  Study line, plane, and angle definitions for quiz tomorrow.


Math 2 & 5- Word Equations- can practice on IXL- 6.Z.3 if you would like.  HW- WS

Math Mod 1 –  Took Vocabulary quiz today.  Discussed Triangles.  HW- p338 #6-14, 19-21.


Math 2 & 5-  Solving addition & subtraction equations.  HW- p327 #5-8 and p329 #10-17.  Write out problem, show work, check your answer, highlight answer.  Use your notebook to help you remember how to use decimals, integers, and fractions.
