More Than a School, It's a Community.
We enjoyed the No Place For Hate Assembly, and took the pledge.
We loved the education, music and dancing at the African Cultural Connection Assembly.
We got a chance to get an up close look with the Omaha Police and Fire Departments.
They even checked the roof for our recess equipment.

It is hard to say which was there favorite day, but they had a blast all week.

The students in 2C got to travel to some interesting places during our virtual field trip to investigate rocks. We visited the Grand Canyon, The Giant’s Causeway in Ireland, Palawan Island in the Philippines, Paradise cave in Vietnam and a cenote cave in Mexico along with some other places. We went around the world in less than 40 minutes so we backtracked to Egypt to visit some great rock structures.

What a great job 2c did at mass last week.
Thank you for all the help in preparing. It was great that some of you were able to celebrate mass with us as well.
We had a very productive week, I would like to send a special shout out to my Assistant for the Day Mr. Kneifl. Thanks Charlie I learned a few things. Apparently reading phonics stories becomes fun with a microphone and an audience. Everyone wanted to try on the lab coat, I think they’ll grow into it. Finally it was time to just dance.
We had a great time learning about animal mimicry, checking out the raptor recovery area, and climbing on some logs.
The 2C students voted on a very important issue today – what snack to have in the afternoon! After casting their vote, they each received an “I Voted” sticker.
This will be my 4th year teaching 2nd grade and my 8th year at St. Pius St. Leo School. When I'm not at school I enjoy spending time with my family at the lake, playing put-put golf and making music with my friends. You're going to love 2nd grade.
We had our friends from 2A over to our class this week for a lab on the States of Mater. It was fun having them.
