I am happy to welcome the incoming 6th graders. This year we have a lot of great things planned for our students. Our goal this year is to help our students take the step into middle school. Students entering my classrooms can expect to encounter new ideas and to do it in a fun and safe learning environment. In social studies, students be taking world history and explore the ancient civilizations that laid the foundations for the modern world. A few of the major topics that will be covered in social studies will be ancient Egypt, ancient China, and the Greek and Roman empires. In science, students  will be taking a deeper look at the different fields in the subject of science. Newton’s laws, the phases of the Moon, and ecosystems are just a few of topics that the class will explore in science. There are so many great things happening this year, I am very excited to get started.
