Happy Fall!
We have been very busy finishing up our 1st Quarter of school. We have had visits from Miles, our therapy dog. He visits us during some of our library times. He loves to sit with us as we read.

We are also working on our projects for the fund raiser at the end of the month. Each 6th Grader creates their own cross for parents to buy. The kids choose a color and paint their cross. Then they decide on a medium to decorate their cross. They can choose stones, beads, tiles, or marble-colored egg shells. We have many wonderful parent volunteers that organize and help with this project.
In Math classes, we are working on all things Integers and Decimals. One activity we did was play Quiz, Quiz, Trade with dividing decimals. Each student had a white board and a problem. They paired up with a partner, solved each other’s problem, offered help if it was needed, cheered each other on, and then switched boards and paired up with a different partner. They had a fun time practicing this way.

During October, we will be going on two field trips. We will be attending the musical at Marian and the Archdiocesan Vocation Day.
Next Thursday is Picture Day! Please come to school looking your best and ready to smile!
We end the month with conferences on October 30th. We look forward to talking with all of our parents. Please plan on attending!
Mark your calendar for the 5th and 6th Grade musical. They are presenting Hairspray, Jr. on November 14th. This is always an amazing performance and you won’t want to miss it!
