It is hard to believe that it is already November! We have spent the last two weeks talking about what it means to be thankful and thinking of all the things that we thank God for. When we come back after Thanksgiving we will begin learning about Advent and the true reason we celebrate Christmas- Jesus!
We are gearing up for our Pre-K Christmas program. The kids have been hard at work practicing and I know they will do a wonderful job. 🙂
I hope everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving surrounded by those they love. I know I have much to be thankful for- and I am especially thankful for all of my students and their families!
We are welcoming Fall with open arms in Pre-K! We have many fun activities planned. We will be learning about and celebrating pumpkins. We will also be learning how fall is different from summer and how this affects the way we dress, play, and how long we have to enjoy the sunshine each day. In Religion we will be learning about the many wonderful things that God made.
We will also enjoy a special visit from some firefighters who will teach us about fire safety this month!
It’s always a great day to be in Pre-K!
I hope you all had a wonderful and restful summer. I know my family and I did! I am very excited for the new school year to get rolling. I am looking forward to meeting everyone at Open House tonight! Please stop by and say hi and let me know if you have any questions!
See you soon!
Spring has sprung in Pre-K! I can’t believe how fast the year is flying by. For the rest of this month and April, we will be learning all about spring, animals, plants, and insects. We will even be able to observe caterpillars changing into butterflies here in the classroom!

Here in Pre-k this month we are soaking up the holiday spirit and enjoying the hustle and bustle, but we are making sure to keep focused on the true meaning of Christmas!!
This week is our Pre-K musical, A Gingerbread Christmas. We will decorate gingerbread houses with our families afterward. It is one of my favorite Pre-K traditions here at SPSL.
We will also have the opportunity to see the 2nd and 4th grade Christmas musical and the 1st grade Christmas play next week, as well. We are so excited to share the Christmas spirit with these students in other grades.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and hope you get to enjoy the long break with loved ones.
