The Fall Fundraiser is St. Pius X / St. Leo School’s annual parent-led fundraiser, held every fall. With a plated dinner, open bar, and silent auction, this is a night of community and camaraderie to celebrate and support our amazing school! The funds raised at this event directly support the school’s operating budget, specific classroom needs, and exciting upgrades (more info on the 2024 GIVE coming soon!).
Our 2024 Fundraiser Chairs are Jesse & Lora Hansen and Matt & Lori Rusch. Both have current students at SPSL in the Class of 2025. Additionally, Matt & Lori are parents to SPSL Alumni – Daniel (2020) and Thomas (2015). Jesse & Lora also have two SPSL graduates – Paul (2020) and Isabelle (2017). Both have also served as chairs in previous years – Lora in 2018, and Lori in 2019. New this year – to go along with the Fundraiser theme of sustainability, there is no printed booklet this year. To peruse items to bid and buy, you will hop on Qtego instead! Be sure to Register your phone now so you can bid or buy. You will be able to peruse items online and start to bid and by on Friday, October 11 at noon! Instructions on how to bid using Qtego can be found here.
Each year we ask our Fall Fundraiser supporters to help our school raise funds for a special project. This year, funds donated to the 2024 GIVE will go toward upgrading the recess experience for SPSL students! SPSL focuses on nourishing the development of students in every way – including their social and physical health. All our students enjoy time outdoors during school; here is your chance to make it even better!
The GIVE this year will provide additional opportunities for play and socialization such as adding another fan-favorite gaga pit, upgrading our outdoor basketball hoops, and securing seating by the playgrounds for our students to engage in imaginative play. We also hope to raise funds for proper exterior storage for recess materials in each of the outdoor play areas so students are not required to lug recess tubs up and down the stairs and throughout the school each day.
No gift is too small (or too big!). You can send your gift into school (please note “2024 GIVE” in the memo). You can also contribute to GIVE at any time after registering with Qtego by texting any dollar amount. For example, if you want to give $100 respond to any Qtego text with GIVE 100. The goal this year is $25,000. Thank you for your generous support!
Travel for a good cause! As you dream of your next vacation, keep in mind that for the 2024 Fall Fundraiser, we are once again partnering with AmFund to offer a wide variety of bucket-list-worthy trips.
Start planning your vacation now – and remember, you have 3 years to plan your trip with the help of AmFund’s travel specialists. Bids are placed in person at the Fundraiser on October 19.
Wondering what to expect as you plan your bids? AmFund trip high bids are typically in the range of $5k-$10k and SPSL receives a portion of each trip sold. AmFund trips are paid for the night of the Fundraiser. An AmFund representative will be present at the Fundraiser to answer any questions.
