Blue Folders (Teacher to Parent Communication)

Blue Folder: Please check this daily for notes home or work completed by your child.  You can send notes or money in the blue folder.

Phone calls:  Please contact the teacher at school.

Newsletters:  Classroom newsletters are usually updated Friday afternoon and posted on the classroom FaceBook page and spsl.net.  If you need a paper copy, please let the teacher know.  We are trying to go paperless as a school.

Social Media:  FaceBook is updated daily and the school website classroom pages are updated weekly.

Discipline and Rewards

Discipline will follow the BoysTown Social Skills, Better Choices / PBIS, Role Play, Whole Body Listening, and Whole Brain Teaching.

Rewards will be given to 1) the entire class, 2) individuals, and 3) tables.

Parent Volunteers

Parents can sign up to volunteer in the classroom.  This will start in October.  All parent volunteers need to have Safe Environment Training.  Please visit the Archdiocese of Omaha website (www.archomaha.org) to find a training time.

Please check in at the main office before coming down to a Kindergarten classroom.  And if you can’t make it on your assigned day, don’t worry about it!

Birthday Treats and Party Invitations

Please do not send birthday party invitations to school unless you are inviting the entire class, all the boys, or all the girls.  Please refer to the school directory for parent information.

If you choose to send birthday treats, please make sure you send enough for the entire class.  Please also send small treats that are easy to pass out, open, and clean up.
