3-year-old Pre-Kindergarten Program

Our program is based on the following philosophy:

• Young children have a strong natural desire to learn.
• Young children need freedom to explore and be creative.
• Young children need a developmental program for learning.
• Teaching of children needs to be interactive.
• Each child will be treated with utmost dignity, respect and care.

Each class will have a teacher experienced in early childhood education. Each class will also have a full-time teacher assistant.

Requirements:

In order to attend the 3-year-old program, your child must be 3 years old on or before July 31st, 2023. Children are also required to be toilet trained. Parents must provide an up-to-date health form and immunization record that is to be completed by the child’s health care provider. 

Class Size:

The maximum number of children in each section will be 15.

2023-24 Program Costs:

2 days per week, Tuesday and Thursday, 8:15 – 11:15 AM, $150 per month and $50 non-refundable registration fee

Clothing:

Uniforms are not required for Pre-Kindergarten children.  Any type of comfortable and washable clothing may be worn.  Pants that pull down easily and without belts are best.  Tennis shoes are recommended because of the different activities that go on daily in the classroom.  Flipflops are not permitted.  Please label all jackets, sweatshirts, or sweaters with your child’s name.  Your child is permitted to wear shorts until November 1st and then may resume wearing them on April 1st.  Please send an extra set of clothing (including socks and underwear) in a plastic zip-lock bag with your child’s name clearly marked.  This way, if you child has an accident or spills something, they can be quickly changed.

Supplies:

Please have your child bring a backpack every day (regular size, not little).  The backpack will be used to send our daily folder home and your child’s work.

Children need to bring the following supplies:

• 2 boxes of 24 regular crayons
• 1 box of washable markers
• 5 glue sticks
• 1 watercolor tray
• 1 kid scissors
• 1 container of Clorox/Lysol wipes
• Pencil box
• 1 small container of playdough (.3 ounce size)
• 1 ream of paper (optional)

4-year-old Pre-Kindergarten Program

• Play provides the foundation for school learning.
• Each child learns in unique ways.
• Children learn best through developmentally appropriate practices.
• Teaching of children needs to be interactive.
• Each child will be treated with utmost dignity, respect and care.
• The child’s culture, family, and traditions are primary influences on development.

Each class will have a teacher experienced in early childhood education. Each class will also have a full-time teacher assistant.

In our Pre-Kindergarten Program, we emphasize on the following skills:

• Social and emotional skills
• Initiative, curiosity, reasoning, and problem solving skills to learn about their world
• Large and small motor skills
• Health, nutrition and safety skills
• Language and literacy skills through talking, listening, playing, writing and reading
• Number and mathematical concepts through meaningful and active learning experiences
• Science skills by observing, manipulating, listening, reflecting and responding to open-ended questions
• Creative Arts through music, movement, dramatic expression and visual arts

Enrichment Time:

The enrichment of the academic program will be held in a separate room.  The room will be managed by teacher assistants.  The ratio of adults to children will be 1:10.  Enrichment activities will include practicing social skills, reinforcing academic skills taught in the academic class, story time, play time, and rest time.

2023-24 Program Costs for 3 Day Program:

3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), 8:15 – 11:15 AM, $190 per month and $75 non-refundable registration fee.

2023-24 Program Costs for 5 Day Program (two options):

OPTION 1: 5 day PM Academic Program
5 days per week (Monday-Friday), PM Academic Program from 12:25 – 3:20 PM, $270 per month and $75 non-refundable registration fee
5 days per week (Monday-Friday), PM Academic Program with Enrichment Time from 12:25 to 5:30 PM, $455 per month and $75 non-refundable registration fee

OR

OPTION 2: 5 day All Day Academic Program
5 days per week (Monday-Friday), All Day Academic Program from 8:15 AM – 3:20 PM, $675 per month with $100 non-refundable registration fee
5 days per week (Monday-Friday), All Day Academic Program with PM Enrichment Time from 8:15 AM – 5:30 PM, $860 per month with $100 non-refundable registration fee
5 days per week (Monday-Friday), Early Start Available from 7:30 – 8:15 AM, $65 additional per month
