More Than a School, It's a Community.
Students in grades 5th to 8th participate in writing, editing, memorizing, and presenting a three to five minute speech based on a topic selected yearly by Modern Woodmen of America. School contest winners have the opportunity to complete at the next level.
Modern Woodmen of America provides young people an opportunity to meet with early success in public speaking, which imparts a sense of accomplishment, boosts self-confidence, and increases the likelihood of significant achievement in the future.
Facilitated by classroom teachers from November to March. Competition is held in Spring.
