Apostle’s Creed

All third grade students need to have the Apostle’s Creed prayer memorized by the end of third grade. Traditionally students are expected to recite the entire prayer to their teacher. There are different versions of this prayer but this is the one we use.

Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty,

Creator of heaven and earth,

and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,

born of the Virgin Mary,

suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, died and was buried;

he descended into hell;

on the third day he rose again from the dead;

he ascended into heaven,

and is seated at the right hand of God the Father

almighty; from there he will come to judge the living

and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

the holy Catholic Church,

the communion of saints,

the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body,

and life everlasting.

Amen.

Hello! Welcome to 3B. I am so happy to be returning to St. Pius X / St. Leo School for another year as a third grade teacher. I have taught a variety of grade levels in the Archdiocese of Omaha Catholic schools since 1992. Each year is a new adventure, and I can’t wait to get to know each one of you. I am blessed with two sons. My older son is a senior at Millard North High. The younger one is a junior at Creighton Prep. We are going to have a terrific year together!
