Upcoming Events:

Picture Day is on Monday, September 11. Please return your picture order forms by Friday or order pictures online.

Subjects:

Spelling – Our first spelling test will be on September 15. The list of words to study were sent home in the students’ “Friday Folders” on September 1. Please continue to have your child study the spelling of these words on a daily basis at home.  All of the words have either the short a or short i sound.

Reading – identifying story elements

English – plural nouns

Phonics – short i & a

Handwriting – reviewing proper formation of all manuscript letters

Math – finishing our place value unit

Science – plants

Social Studies – oceans and continents

Religion – learning about Mother Teresa’s life of service and her famous quotes

International Day of Charity, observed on September 5, is a reminder that small acts of kindness can create positive change. The day honors Mother Teresa, known for her selfless love and service to the impoverished.
